PEP Ecopassport AssociationPEP Ecopassport® is the benchmark international programme for Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) for electrical, electronic and HVAC equipment.
What is a PEP?
It provides relevant and reliable data on the environmental impact of your product:
PEP services
PEP Ecopassport provides an ecosystem for the publication, verification and sharing of your products’ environmental data.
The PEP is drawn up by the product manufacturer, who then publishes it on a voluntary basis. The PEP Ecopassport® programme has laid down rigorous, transparent procedures to guarantee the reliability and compliance of the product data with international regulations and standards and to allow manufacturers to publish PEPs and have them verified.
PEPs are published on the PEP Ecopassport database. Access to the data is controlled by the declarant, who can make them directly accessible through the portal and also in other databases, including the French INIES database, used as part of RE2020 environmental regulations.
These allow declarants to automate PEP registration and editing.

PEP Ecopassport Association
The PEP Association is a non-profit organisation, founded in 2009. It sets out to help reduce the environmental impact of electrical, electronic and HVAC products, through the dissemination of reliable, transparent environmental data which have been verified across the whole of the value chain.
In compliance with ISO 14025, the Association sets out the rules for the governance of the programme and draws up, verifies and publishes Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) in the form of Product Environmental Profiles (PEP) in compliance with the principles of transparency, independence and ethics.
The Association also sets out to bring together sector stakeholders in order to promote and develop these practices. The PEP Association is an internationally acknowledged benchmark operator in the sector and contributes to a national and European standardisation while working towards harmonising programmes between the different countries.
