About PEP Ecopassport®
Mission
PEP Ecopassport® is a non-profit association, the aim of which is to promote the international development of the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) relating to electrical, electronic and HVAC equipment.
The Association sets out, in compliance with ISO 14025 requirements, the operating procedures of the PEP Ecopassport® programme, in accordance with the principles of transparency and ethics, notably:
- The rules of governance
- The rules for drawing up, verifying and publishing Product Environmental Profiles (PEP).
The PEP Ecopassport® Association is open to all interested parties, including manufacturers, users, institutions and professional organisations. The various committees are comprised of representatives of Association members.

Organisation
The PEP Ecopassport® Association is made up of four bodies, each with specific responsibilities:
- Executive Board
- Steering Committee
- Technical Committee
- Accredited Verifiers Club
Executive Board
Executive Board members are elected by the Steering Committee from among its active members: a President, three Vice Presidents, a General Secretary and a Treasurer. The Steering Committee also elects a President of the Technical Committee from among its members or from the members of the Association who have not been elected to the Steering Committee. The Board is made up of these seven elected members.
NB: the President of the Technical Committee may not be elected to the Steering Committee. They can sit on the Steering Committee and on the Board but have no voting rights.

- Prepare and ensure the implementation of decisions taken by the Steering Committee and the General Assembly,
- Oversee the proper management of the PEP Ecopassport® Association,
- Guide the programme’s policy through proposals and leadership

Technical Committee (CT)
The main tasks of the Programme Technical Committee involve coordinating technical work carried out on the PCRs, the PSRs and the technical FAQs, to ensure that programme rules are applied by both members and users, to monitor changes in regulations and standards relating to environmental declarations and to represent Technical Committee opinions or the recommendations within the Executive Board and the Steering Committee

Accredited Verifiers Club
PEP Ecopassport® has 35 accredited verifiers to manage the PEP verification process. Accreditation is valid for three years. PEP Ecopassport® can take on new verifiers several times a year, from a range of countries. The President of the Verifiers Club is available to help them share best practices and escalate questions to the Technical Committee. The President of the Verifiers Club is a member of the Technical Committee.
